Supertest Airplane Cards

Issued weekly with the compliments of your neighbourhood
Supertest Service Station , circa 1954 and 1955.

Power-thrust was heavily promoted at this time on matchbooks and road maps .
Aviation was very popular during this era  and jet fighter design elements would soon
appear on automobiles of the late 50's , with grills and bumpers imitating
aircraft nose cones and jet exhausts , and of course the tall tail fins.
The name Power-thrust, along with images of jets suggests power and speed ,
to say nothing of the connection to Miss Supertest III , the only  unlimited
hydroplane to win the Harmsworth Trophy three times.

I have included a photo of the complete set of 15 cards .
I have a few of these available for trade . If you are trying to finish your collection ,
let me know , perhaps I can help .
