Tape Measures
This month I have chosen to feature two
tape measures , given away by
Canadian Oil Companies Limited .The example on
the right is a quality piece made by
the Lufkin Company and measures just under
1 1/2 " in diameter .
I am only guessing but I suspect it was from the
Twenties or Thirties .
Shown on the left is a "Zippo" tape measure
, given out in August 1962 at the launching
of the new Canadian Oil tanker ' M/V
W. Harold Rea ' at Collingwood Ontario .
It is approx. 1 1/2 " square.
