In the June 1991. the
former Yugoslavia began its violent break up when the Republic of Slovenia and then
Croatia declared their independce from the Federeal Goverment in the Belgrade. When civil
war broke out in the Bosnia a year later, the United Nations passed Resolution 757
introducing economic sanstions against Serbia and Montenegro. |
When hostilitis came to
an end with thesigning of the Dayton Agreement in November 1995. Federal Republic of |

| Yugoslavia had shrunk to less than one third of its previous
size and comprised the republic of Serbia and Montenegro. As part of Dayton Peace Accord,
the Yugoslav Air Force was required to reduce its combat aircraft inventory, which
included J-1 Jastrebs, J-22 Oraos, Mig-21s, Mig-29s, Sa-341/342 Gazelle and G-4 Super
Galebs.
