DODGY TRADES (i.e. Bad traders)
I've been lucky enough to have only had two bad trading experiences, but this is where those bad traders will be pointed out so hopefully not another will be swindled.
Jody Howlett (rp4jh_4eva@yahoo.com) As far as I know this e-mail no longer works. This one was a little unfortunate, I got Jody back into pony collecting when we were at TAFE together. I did a trade with her at TAFE and bought a bunch of ponies off her. I learned the hard way however that postal trades do not work with this girl. We agreed on my Twinkle Eye Sweet Pop for her Wave Runner. I sent my end, let her know, waited... waited, asked had she sent the pony yet, got the excuse that she's been really busy and hasn't got to a post office yet. Sure, that's fine. Once. But this kept going on for literally months with me either e-mailing or ICQing her asking where the pony was, and getting the same excuse. So I told her if she can't find the time to send ponies she sure as hell shouldn't be trading. Not long after that she disappeared off ICQ and her e-mail stopped working. Oh well, lucky it wasn't a rare.
Laura Cockfield (jrlpc@bellsouth.net) Another e-mail address that no longer works, if I had e-mail addresses that DID work I'd still be bugging these swindlers. This was one the largest trades I've done. 7 or so commons and not-so-hard-to-finds for the same from her. I sent my end. Her end was taking a while, which didn't concern me too much, large packages coming from the US often take a while. I e-mailed her and asked if she'd sent air or surface. Eventually after a few e-mails I got a reply saying she'd lost all her info and needed my details again. She asked which ponies she was meant to send and assured me she'd send them right away, so I told her and was happy. Couple of months later, no ponies, another e-mail - e-mail is bounced back to me, invalid. Hrmm... Now has been over a year, still no ponies, guess I've been duped. Grrrr.
