The hotel we have chosen to host ZonCon '98 is the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center on O'Donnell St.,off exit 57, I-95. It is located minutes from the Inner Harbor, 35 minutes from DC and 15 minutes from the airport. The hotel features a 500 seat dinner theater, nightclub with dancing, a Greyhound and Trailways bus station, free shuttle service to and from the Inner Harbor, shuttle service to and from the airport for a nominal fee, a food court, swimming pool, weight room, and a very pleasant and accommodating staff.
The Inner Harbor is a popular tourist destination showcasing the National Aquarium, a science center featuring an IMAX theater, Hard Rock Cafe, Harbor Place shops and restaurants and harbor cruises. For sports fans there are daily tours of Oriole Park at Camden Yards and the Babe Ruth Museum. Baltimore is also home to several museums and art galleries.
Weather in October is typically pleasant. Temperatures range from highs in the mid 70's during the day to lows in the 50's at night.
The dates for the convention are October 2-4, 1998. You can reserve rooms now if you like. The cost is $85 per night for single, double, triple or quad.

Note: Hotel reservations must be made prior to September 8th, 1998 to ensure the discounted room rate of $85 per nite. After September 8th, the price increases and the rooms may not be available. Be sure to mention 'ZonCon' when making hotel reservations.
Directions to the hotel

From North of Baltimore

Take I-95 South to Baltimore, exit 57, O'Donnell Street. Go to second light at bottom of ramp (lights are very close together) and make a left. Make another left into the hotel entrance.

From South of Baltimore

Take I-95 North through the Fort McHenry Tunnel to exit 57, Boston Street. Go to the bottom of the ramp and make a right. At the first light make a right. The hotel is on the left. Note: When approaching the Fort McHenry tunnel stay in the far right hand lane. Exit 57 is just after the toll booth. If traffic is heavy it can be very difficult to change lanes in time to exit.

Airport Shuttle Service:

The Best Western Hotel offers shuttle service from BWI Airport. The cost is $18.00 round trip or $11.00 one way. When arriving at BWI Airport, the guest should go to ground transportation to request the shuttle to the Best Western Hotel. They will purchase the ticket at ground transportation and shuttles will leave BWI every two hours on odd number hours. When departing the hotel, the guest or the front desk needs to call the shuttle and make a reservation or else the shuttle will not stop at the hotel. The shuttle leaves the hotel every two hours on the even hours. Reservations must be made between 6 am and 11 pm. Reserve space by calling 410-859-0800 at least TWO hours in advance.
