- Besagew
- small saucer plates used to protect the armpits.
- Breastplate
- plate armor that protected the chest and abdomen.
- Breaths
- apertures in a helm or helmet for air.
- Cod-piece
- a piece of plate used to protect the groin.
- Couter
- armor protecting the elbow.
- Cuisse
- armor protecting the thigh.
- Gauntlet
- a glove, usually of plate, used in protecting the hand.
- Gorget
- armored collar to protect the neck.
- Greave
- armor protecting the shin and calf.
- Lance-rest
- an adjustable hook or rest fixed to the breastplate to place the lance during a joust.
- Pauldron
- armor protecting the shoulder area.
- Poleyn
- armor protecting the kneecap.
- Sabaton
- armor protecting the foot.
- Sight
- aperture in helm or helmet for vision.
- Skull
- plate crown of a helm or helmet.
- Tasset
- plates attached to the skirt of an armor protecting the front of the hips and thighs.
- Vambrace
- armor protecting the forearm.
- Visor
- moveable plate attached to helmet, protecting the face.
