Hectanooga

The name "Hectanooga" reminds us of the Indian influence on many of the local names and items used by the Acadians. This location was first settled by Acadians by way of Bonaventure Deveau in 1843. The fact that the local Indians had a name for this area indicates that it held some importance to them...be it as a winter camping area or for it's food sources and water ways.

A road invites you to explore and enjoy the many hidden scenic locations...

and then you see one...a reminder of days gone by...

a lake...if it could speak...
could tell you about the ancient ways of the first visitors...

then you stumble onto someone's secret place...
their escape from the harsh reality of life...

yet you are never far from the One who gave us all this beauty...

and a more beautiful setting for His house...
one will be hard pressed to find...
