All the divers pictured in the following...including the instructors...are sport divers with a passion for our underwater world and dive primarily for enjoyment and not as a specific career...although diving has played a part in some of our careers. One exception is one of the instructors is now a member of the underwater team for the TV series "Survivor" and for the last few years has been travelling the world working on this production. Some of the instructors I dove with began diving in their early teens... in my case I was 14...and they now have memories many only dream of. For myself...I used this medium often to go back in time and visit a part of our history... the rarely seen underwater locations of many of the ancient ship wrecks of Nova Scotia...and the off shore sites of our old forts and settlements...some or part of some which are now under the waves...
