Benoit Joseph Melanson, Service Number: 733556, served in the Army with the Canadian Infantry, Nova Scotia Regiment, 25th Bn.

He was the son of John C. and Aimee Bourneuf Melanson of Grosses Coques, Digby Co., Nova Scotia.

Benoit Joseph was laid to rest in Crouy British Cemetery, Crouy-Sur-Somme in France.

Cemetery Location: Crouy is a village about 16 kilometres north-west of Amiens on the west side of the River Somme, on the Amiens-Abbeville main road. The Crouy British Cemetery is a little south of the village on the west side of the road to Cavillon and there is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission signpost on the main road.
