Adams Family Gallery
Welcome to the Gallery. I hope yopu will enjoy these photos as much as I did finding them. Some of them I had to spend a great deal of time and effort into restoring digitally. ( Click name to view picture. Use back command to return to this page.)
-
Asa Lemuel Adams ( B. Dec. 28, 1809, D. Jun. 13, 1891) This was taken from an old tin plate photograph. Notice that his left eye is blind. Looks like cataracts. I have read that in his latter life he went completely blind. I would guess this photo is from the 1870-1880 circa.
-
Nathan Alphus Adams ( B. Jun. 7, 1832, D. Nov. 29. 1926 on left ) and William Riley Adams (B. Feb 21, 1829 D. Apr. 11, 1918 on right). This was also taken from a tin plate photo.
-
William Riley Adams ( see above) This looks to be a younger tin plate photo of William Riley.
-
William Wiley "Captain" Adams ( B. Mar. 22, 1852 D. 1946) and Malissa D. Peterson Adams ( B. Sept. 17, 1846, D. Nov 10, 1897) I am not sure what format the original photo was.
-
William Wiley "Captain" Adams ( see above) Here is one where Captain is older. This one was taken from a tin plate photo.
-
Alonzo Franklin Adams ( B. April 1880, D. Dec. 24, 1932) and Elizabeth Turner Adams ( B. Feb 15, 1886, D. Mar. 23, 1975) They are holding Lester Pat Adams. Since Lester was born on Sept. 14, 1904, I would guess this picture was taken about 4-5 months after that.
-
Alonzo F. Adams ( see above) with E. Turner Adams ( see above) Bertha Adams ( B. Dec 9, 1915) is the young girl behind them and the small boy is Raymond Adams ( B. Aug 12, 1928) This picture was taken in the summer of 1932, a few months before Alonzo passed away.
-
Bill Kent Adams ( B. Dec 2, 1910) and Beulah Mae Deen Adams ( B. Jun. 4, 1918) This picture was taken in the late 1930's.
-
Martin Turner ( B. 1855, D. ?) and Vinney Nee Connell ( B. 1857, D. 4/23/1918) This image was taken from a painting. It is a little large in file size compared with the others
-
Joseph and Martha Fountain Palmer Dates unknown. This picture was taken from another tin plate photo.
-
George Wiley Palmer This picture was again taken from a tin plate photot. George is younger here and looks a real sport of a fellow.
-
William Riley Adams ( B. Sep 10, 1873, D. Feb 3, 1894) This was taken from a tin plate photo. Willam R. was killed at his Grandfather's (William Riley Adams) Cotton Gin/Grist Mill, this means the photo was taken sometime near that date
-
Navy Jane Adams ( B. Jan. 17, 1870 D. Jul. 16, 1958) and and her husband Daniel Henry Mitchell I am not sure what format the original photo was.
