TITLE>SADDAM
S A D D A M
I wrote this poem when my son went to Saudi and participated in Desert Storm. At the time everyone
thought we would get rid of Saddam for sure. But as you know he is still a threat.Anyway here's what I wrote.
We warned Saddam to flee or fight,
To free Kuwait is only right.
I think Saddam has sealed his fate,
He doesn't want to leave Kuwait.
We thought that sanctions would prevail,
But even those were bound to fail.
Now the battle lines are drawn,
We'll have to fight the devil's spawn.
Our bombs have lit the Iracian nights,
As they hit his missle sites.
He's dug his trenches in the sand,
And hid his scuds as he planned.
He hides, we seek, we find and blast,
At this rate his scuds won't last.
Our troops are ready to attack,
We've got to stop that maniac.
He is a tyrant, in-humane,
He wants the world as his domain.
We stand in place, a barricade,
To halt that evil renegade.
Saddam you better be aware,
We will be your worst nightmare.
Lives are lost in your greed for power,
But soon you'll see your final hour.
First came Hitler, now there's you,
You also persecute the Jew.
You pray to God with all your might,
Then kill His people left and right.
But God is good, make no mistake,
Right from wrong, He'll seperate.
When you go down in defeat,
Then our job will be complete.
It's not for oil that we aspire,
It's freedom of choice that we admire.
You call us satan; well that's a laugh,
Your deeds are writting your epitath.
Your name spelled backwards says maddas,
And that's
what it takes to war with gas.
But gas we'll take if that's your aim,
We'll still fight and not complain.
