Ko Khao Tapu - Nail Mountain Island

Sharp pointed Rock Island pivoted in the middle of the bay

Made famous by a "James Bond" movie

The Whereabout of this Famed little Island ____ __ _

What to expect from this adventure into a huge bay dotted with islands?

The Boat Ride

Oh ! The ride with the long tail boat - fortunately in this enclosed open sea is quite an experience

Scenery on the way

Most guided tours would include a stop over lunch at the Sea Food Restaurants in Ban Panyee

Ambience of this highly visited island!

Even this tiny strip was not spared of Souvenirs stalls and crowd

This is the area in the Andaman Sea - South Western edge of Thailand. There the world renounced  Phuket Island  stands out prominently. This rocky outcrop where the film "Man with the Golden Gun" with 007 was made.

The gateway to this bay are guided by the equally well known resort district of Krabi/Phuket. The island is in Phangnga Bay, among the many tiny islands as shown in this sketch. Some sense of distance - the loop circuit highway between the Provincial capitals of Krabi and Phuket is about 360 kilometers.
