Well, how do you do? I am a 21 year old Computer-Science major at Saint Mary's University in Nova Scotia (that's Canada for you geographically challenged folks :-). Contrary to popular belief, Canada is not in a permanent deep-freeze. We have winter for 9 months of the year. The other 3 would be classified as bad snowmobiling weather. Seriously, folks, I do not live in an igloo (although, I've been told they are quite warm!) and my dog does not have two feet of fur on her.

So, what do I plan on doing with my life in the next year? First of all I will be graduating this spring with my honours degree in Math and CS -- assuming that my thesis gets finished. (See the main page for a link to information on my thesis!) My goal is to get into Waterloo (the application is in the mail, baby!) and complete a Master's program in Distributed Systems and Communications. From there, who knows? I'd like to work for IBM or Nortel in their R&D department.

Anyway, here are some vitals about my person:

• Born in August of 1977 (the exact date will remain a mystery ;-)
  This would make me -- a Virgo. I don't place much faith in horoscopes, so here is my humorscope this week.
• My dad is of Scottish descent and my mom is of French descent.
• If it is not overly apparent yet, it soon will be that my favorite color is Blue. Unfortunately, my eyes are not blue year-round -- in fact they are only blue in the beginning of winter. Most of the remainder of the year, they are hazel.
