The Empire pool, Wembley, was the venue for the "Record Star Show" on 25th March 1962. The stars turned out in force for this charity event, which included the following in the line-up: John Barry (James Bond theme), Kenny Ball, Brook Brothers, Tommy Bruce, Russ Conway, Lonnie Donegan, Adam Faith, Desmond Lane, Cliff Richard & The Shadows, Sandu Scott, Helen Shapiro, Doug Sheldon, Rosemary Squires and Andy Stewart. In addition to the main performers, the following are listed as "buskers": John Le Mesurier (Dad's Army), David McCallum, Wilfred Pickles, Brian Rix, Inia Te-Waita, George Chisholm and many more. The programmes were also sold by stars, including Vera Lynn and Hattie Jacques, who has signed the back of this copy in blue biro.
