Have you been tried and tested,
By the daily happenings of life;
Pushed…perhaps to the limit,
Beat down by all the strife?

It seems that those around you,
Live life so far above;
Maybe we need a boost,
Or, maybe a gentle shove!

But, let’s think about it,
What is it like down there…on the bottom?
It’s not a place that I enjoy,
And, I’m sure you’d not feel too welcome.

Oh, there’s so much to learn,
For like this…we don’t want to stay;
Surely…it’s not of our choosing,
To remain…forever…that way.

Later on…past the current problem,
We can look back…at what we did learn;
And, perhaps we can say…with conviction,
“It was good, but I don’t want to return!”

Yes, BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE…they may be,
But, it takes awhile before we know;
That all things really work together for good,
And, each problem helps us to grow.

So, don’t be too quick to judge,
The things that come your way;
They may be BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE,
And, we’ll understand just ‘why’…some day!
