Jn. 1: 12 " But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:"

Our Father's Word went forth,
Heard of…by all mankind;
Some chose to believe it,
But, others remained blind.

Choice there was…in the garden,
Choice…we have today;
Do we deny His Word…or listen,
Line-up with it…or do we go astray?

To say we believe is not sufficient,
Devils believe and tremble; (Js 2:19)
Faith without works is dead, (Js 2:20)
There must be action to follow.

Every promise in the Book is ours,
With one stipulation…all;
Without faith, we shall not see them,
That's been mankind's problem…since the fall.

Israel entered not into God's rest,
Because of unbelief;
Faith is belief…obedience,
Unbelief...disobedience.

God declares it…in His Word,
Our choice to believe or not;
His promises are still there,
But, to the unbeliever, they are naught.

Faith mixed with God's Word,
Touches the heart of God;
He looks for a faithful people,
A peculiar people…odd.

People who will believe Him,
Take Him at His Word;
This faith…the mountain-moving kind;
The kind we've seen and heard.

Now, when we put into action,
And, show we really do believe;
God moves on our behalf,
And, His promises we receive.

That's how we enter into that rest,
We take Him at His Word;
He is the one…brings it to pass,
Believe…Receive!
