A closer walk with You…my LORD,
This is my heart's desire;
A daily walk with You,
My heart so on fire.

Please fan these tiny embers,
Cause them to burn bright;
Let this whole life…my LORD,
Bring You, great delight.

My heart's desire being,
To bring glory to Your name;
In all that I say and do,
My LORD…to You, the fame.

Let all of me be gone,
And only my LORD…be seen;
Focused on Your kingdom come,
And, nothing in between.

Cause me…to Your fountain come,
From whence all healing flows;
Drinking deeply of Your Love…my LORD,
Your Love goes out…it grows,

My soul searches…reaches,
For more and more of You;
This thirst unquenched...desires more,
My LORD…this life renew.

And so, it shall be forevermore,
This desire growing…my LORD;
Until the day…Your face we see,
United, are we…with our God.
