~~NATURE - CREATION~~

Gen. 1:31 "And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

Gen. 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."

Wrapped in solitude…she comes,
Her healing balm to bring;
Rest to the weary traveler,
On the wings of Spring.

I glimpsed her…in early morn,
While the dew lay on the ground;
Tranquility she brought with her,
Gentleness and peace did abound.

Her promises of new life,
To the weary earth and to me;
Drink deeply of her kindnesses,
From tiredness and sameness…set free.

Refreshed…yea…revitalized,
This boost to my being;
All nature bursting forth again,
Its promises restoring.

Climb to that mountaintop,
To that place set apart;
Where there is sweet communion,
'O listen to her…my heart.

Nature has her healing balm,
Brings peace to the inner-man;
Sweet comfort offers she,
Let her take you by the hand.

Let her lead you to that quiet place,
Drink of her refreshing waters;
In calmness and peacefulness,
Take all that she offers.

I've wandered over hill and dale,
Explored nature's majesty;
Never giving it much thought,
Of how it all came to be.

There is peace…tranquility,
In all that she possesses;
I go to her in time of need,
Amidst all of life's distresses.

And, she has brought me comfort,
In her deepest, darkest solitude;
Away from all that is man-made,
To her I turn…in gratitude.

Why is it that I do find,
A peace…a comfort there;
Beneath the trees…near babbling brook,
In the gentle breeze…the clean air?

What man has made and fashioned,
By his finite hand and will;
Can offer creature-comforts for a time,
But, never…an empty heart…fill.

Would mankind rob of her,
All her treasures…lay waste;
In instant pleasure and greed,
Strip her of her purity…chaste.

And, what for…filthy lucre,
To line their pockets with;
Is this the only pleasure,
Nothing more to come…forthwith?

But, no…I think not,
It cannot be…'tis not so;
For I have found the answer,
And, to you…I'd like to show!

Sometimes we're so very busy,
Only the creation…we do see;
We forget that there is a Creator,
Of all this….around you and me.

When we view nature all around us,
How many times do we see His hand;
How He fashioned out of nothing,
Such a thing of beauty…all across the land.

Nature is His handiwork,
He…who is Love…fashioned it;
Not to be exploited,
But, for mankind's benefit.

Father knew we'd need a pleasant place,
To walk…commune with Him awhile;
So, He fashioned peaceful…solitude,
To give mankind a place of excile.

So, come with me to that quiet place,
Fashioned by Father's loving hand,
In that place of peace and comfort,
We shall begin to understand.

We'll look at nature quite differently,
God's special gift to us;
We…who are heavily burdened,
Shall lay them all down and in Him…trust.

Nature has brought me great comfort,
As I went along this way;
And, now I see just why 'tis so,
Nature is God's Love…on display!
