Are you being put to the test,
Of what you stand for…today?
Will you waiver…step aside,
Or will you stand firm…and not sway?

Oftimes we find ourselves in situations,
We’d like to run…to hide;
But, no matter how fast we run,
That enemy comes along…for the ride.

The warring in our thoughts,
The battling in our minds;
Back and forth…up and down,
Peace of mind…we cannot find.

Sometimes, we tend to forget,
The battle is already won;
In every situation,
Our LORD has already won.

He is OUR STANDARD…the Christ,
We need to lift Him on high;
Wave Him…like a banner,
Give out that battle cry!

From deep within…it’s stirring,
We just need to let it out;
Don’t draw back…become fearful,
Walls come down…as we shout!

Where do we get the courage,
To stand up…and to fight?
The Spirit of the LORD…our Captain,
And, He’s put the enemy to flight!
