Through the good times,
And, through the bad;
Who was "there" for us,
His protection…we've always had?

That shadow hanging o'er us,
Did we not know;
'Twas God's hand above us,
His protection…to show?

All the days of our lives,
We have been in God's care;
'Twas most important to Him,
How our lives did fare.

As a mother hen broods o'er her chicks,
So, our God does…too;
Carefully watching…patiently watching,
All we say and do.

For, God has always been with us,
His loving care to show;
We…not always aware,
Of His protection…as He watched us grow.

Grow into that fine child,
The apple of God's eye;(Deu.32:10)
The one He loved so much that,
For us…His Son did die.

Still, His hand above us,
Protection…on our way;
Always watching o'er us,
Guarding…lest we stray.
