1 Jn. 4: 18 "There is no fear in love; but PERFECT LOVE casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love."

Do you fear…does it grip you,
Hold you tight…within its grasp?
Would you like to break this hold,
Free yourself from its clasp?

Years and years of utter torment,
So afraid to move ahead;
Hiding…always hiding in the shadows,
What is it that we so dread?

Many things and situations,
From them…we draw back;
Fearful, fearful…always fearful,
Always under such attack.

Come out of the darkness,
For our God is Light;
He is Perfect Love,
Let the darkness take flight.

Would we fear if He walked with us,
If He held our hand in His?
Don't we know He's even closer,
That, within us…He lives?

There is no room for fear,
Perfect Love has come;
Every-growing…expanding,
He has made us, His home.

God's Light dispels the darkness,
It shall have to flee;
Fear hides itself in darkness,
Now, no place to hide…we're free.

Should the darkness try to return,
And, try…it surely will;
Remember He who is within you,
With His Love…you're filled.

Let the Light of His Love,
Shine forth…from within;
Push back the darkness,
This battle…His Love did win!
