RECONCILIATION

2Cor. 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."

Have you often wondered,
Even been perplexed;
Considering His plan for your life,
Are they simple, or very complex?

To the mission fields go,
Your life in great peril;
Or lay down your life,
Helping the terminally ill?

Not all can go,
And, not all does He "send";
But, for each one of us,
There's a ministry…my friend.

Reconciliation is the word,
Reconciling all, back to God;
For many have strayed,
To some this sounds odd.

There are many hurting people…out there,
Some wounded, in the house of their friends;
Pain and suffering of all sorts,
It is you, our LORD may just send.

A shoulder to cry on,
An ear to hear;
Someone to just be kind,
With a word that will cheer.

So, when you see someone down-cast,
Life has dealt them a blow;
Remember how our LORD helped you,
To them, the love of God, show.

Be quick in season to tell them,
Of the "hope" you have inside;
Show them the pathway back to God,
Our loving Father…His arms opened wide.
