Jesus taught how,
Each of us should pray;
And, that prayer is the key,
To how we should live…today.

Our Father…who is in heaven,
His name…we’re to revere;
Placing none above Him,
Not even things we hold dear.

Be it fortune or fame,
A position quite prestigious;
Our spouse…or our children,
Or just plainly being quite ‘religious’.

His kingdom is coming,
As His will is being done;
On this global earth,
By His daughters and His sons.

We look to Him each day,
For all that we have need of;
Confident and trusting Him,
Because of His unconditional Love.

Asking His forgiveness,
For the times we miss the mark;
So too…we must forgive those,
Who may be still stumbling…in the dark.

Asking Him to lead us,
Away from temptations’ snares;
And, to deliver us from the evil,
Of which…sometimes we’re not even aware.

Remind us…it’s God’s kingdom,
And, not our own…we build;
Let’s build it by His pattern,
Not our way…unskilled.

Build this kingdom of our God,
And, do it by His power;
By His Spirit…not our own,
By His pattern…not ours.

Shall we take the glory,
That belongs only to our God;
Or shall we exalt Him,
King of kings and Lord of lords?

It’s an Eternal Kingdom…He’s building,
It shall never pass away;
Its foundation…Rock solid,
Eternal in the heavenlies…to stay.

So, let His kingdom come,
And, let His will be done;
Not someday…in the future,
But…RIGHT NOW…let it come!
