Stirring, stirirng…a deep down stirring,
Stirring…to know more of our God;
Can you feel that gentle stirring,
His Spirit, to us…gently prodding?
Like the rustling in the mulberry trees,(2 Sam. 5:24)
His Spirit calls out to me;
So softly calling…calling,
See the rustling…rustling in the mulberry trees.
From deep within…He calls us,
Gently stirs our own spirit;
Deep calling unto deep,
Can you hear it?
O how He wants to comfort,
In times of trial and sorrow;
Like a dove, His wings wrap 'round us,
Lead us to a brighter 'morrow.
Teach us all about our Father,
Open, to us…the mystery in His Word;
Like a scroll, He would unravel,
Teach us things that we have never heard.
So, my Sister and my Brother,
In your life, give Him full course;
He is waiting, waiting…to be asked,
He's a gentleman…will never force.
Still always…and forever,
Ultimately…our choice;
Would you harken…would you listen,
To His still small voice?
