There's a bubbling…bubbling up and over,
I cannot contain it;
This spring of living water,
Bubbling up and over…I must admit.
To try to hide it…push it down,
Not within our ability;
For when we try to,
Still, it flows out…flows out, so freely.
Flows out across the land,
Across a land that's parched and dry;
Can it cause new growth to appear,
The whole countryside…to beautify?
I think it can…and must…and will,
All nature does proclaim it;
Lies dormant until the waters flow,
Then, all life springs forth…inhabits.
Is your life like a desert place,
Dry, lifeless…so very bare?
Remember, there's a spring of living water,
Deep within…down there!
Allow that water to spring forth,
Its true course…not deny;
And, watch new growth springing up,
The desert…vivify!
