WOO ME!

Rev.19:7 "Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready".

************

How He did woo me,
Did pursue me;
Purposed in His heart,
Did choose me.

Run as I may,
Still… pursue me;
Lavished me with gifts,
Filled my heart with glee.

Handsome though He was,
Still…my will did win;
Came the day, I could run no more,
Time to re-examine.

Here I was, at my best,
Still…I wanted more;
In myself there was a need,
This, I could not ignore.

So, I let Him woo me,
And, let Him pursue me;
Gifts He lavished on me,
What to do…what to do?

He had won my heart,
Asked me…"Be My bride?"
What to do…what to do,
What should I decide?

Thought my life was very full,
Needed none but I;
Still…I came to see the lack,
And, all He would supply.

I have fallen for Him,
For this gentle Lover;
He spoke words of never-dying love,
Love that was… forever.

Just as Isaac searched for Rebekah,
My heavenly Bridegroom searched for me;
I, not a thing of beauty,
Still…some cleaning-up there must be.

So, He sent the Holy Spirit,
Gave to Him the task;
Showed me things I didn't want to see,
Deep down things…beneath the 'mask'.

But, clean me up, He did,
Because I was willing;
A pure…a spotless Bride,
I chose to be.

Now, come into the wedding,
The Bride (the Church) and the I AM;
"For His Bride has made herself ready",
Ready for the wedding of the Lamb.
