Acts 20:35 “I have showed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.”

I’m getting a gift from my Father,
For…it’s a special day…you see;
In eager anticipation…I wait,
For what He has for me.

He’s lavished me with affection,
Been the very best “Dad”;
Now, what is it that He’s bringing,
What else to make my heart glad?

Each day…the very best day,
They just get better and better;
He always out-does Himself,
As He speaks to me…through Scripture.

He tells me all His plans,
And, what He’s done in the past;
I know Him and love Him more and more,
Our relationship will grow…it will last.

So, what does He have for me,
And, what shall today bring?
Only He knows what the gift is,
I can hardly wait to see…what today shall bring.

The gift that He gives to me,
And, the joy when I pass it on;
Truly…it is more blessed to give,
Than anything I have known!
