Ephesians 5:19 “Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord,
20 always giving THANKS to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”(NIV)

Have you been THANKFUL today,
For all that came your way;
And, did you tell Father,
When you knelt down to pray?

He likes to hear from us,
Not just in times of need;
Still…He is there for us,
When we hope He will intercede.

Think of all your blessings,
Add them up…each day;
We’ll find that they are many,
The bad…they far out-weigh.

All the things we take for granted,
Why…they are our’s…we reckon;
While others wish they could,
Have just a small portion.

Besides all we’ve been given,
We still ask for more;
We’re never satisfied…are we,
While more…we stash and store.

We have so much…and others,
Have so very little;
Are we as THANKFUL as they,
Or are they the ones…more spiritual?

Father looks for one who’s THANKFUL,
One who has A THANKFUL HEART;
Never to take for granted…all he has received,
From that one…He will not depart.

So much we have received,
So much…you and I;
Add them up…all your blessings,
They’re so many…we can’t deny.

Don’t ask for more…but rather,
Ask where you can share;
Don’t hoard them all to yourself,
Pass them on…to show how much you care.

Be a vessel…used by Father,
Spread His Love all around;
We’ve been blessed…to bless others,
Let the blessings go and don’t be bound.

This is how we show that we’re THANKFUL,
When we give…as we have received;
It’s the nature of our Father,
And, of all who do believe.

A fountain bubbling up and o’re,
A THANKFUL HEART…overflowing;
A vessel fit for Father’s use,
A THANKFUL HEART…overflowing!
