Oftimes…we’re at “THE END” of our rope,
Or at least that’s how it appears;
As a young child…we fall down,
And then…come all the tears.

Off to school we go,
New challenges to face;
We’ve embarked upon the road of life,
And so it is…with all the human race.

Time marches on,
Hold still…it never will;
A lot of “firsts” in our lives,
From disappointments…to chills and thrills.

Each life…so very different,
There are no two alike;
Some are very poor,
While others…a gold mine they seem to strike!

Our values change,
Our morals seem to change…too;
Good choices and poor choices,
A lot determines what we’ll do.

Many times we go round and round,
Decisions…hard to make;
Backed into a corner,
Our own scruples…let’s not forsake!

One thing sticks out…repeatedly,
When we reach “THE END” of our rope;
What appears to be “THE END”,
Is where we find our greatest hope!

Just one step beyond impossible,
If…by faith…that step we take;
Faith is the substance…evidence of things not seen,
But, sometimes that decision is hard to make.

And, should we take that step,
Oh…what a delight to our soul;
All the possibilities before us,
By faith…we shall reach our Father’s goal.

Take a look…reflect upon,
All “THE ENDS” in times past;
We held back…we were afraid,
And, those opportunities didn’t last.

Had we stepped-out…by faith…believing,
“THE END”…might never be;
For when a door is closed,
Father opens a window…you see!

Why would we shrink back,
From all Father has in store;
Why would we think it impossible,
And, settle for ‘less’…not ‘more’?

Each “END” had a “BEGINNING”,
To the natural-man…it seems;
But, what does Father’s Word say,
Throughout the Bible…what is its theme?

Father’s Word is timeless,
To it…there is no “END”;
It accomplishes what it set out to do,
Upon that…we can depend.

If we think about it long enough,
The truth is very clear;
What we have thought to be “THE END”,
Is really “THE BEGINNING”…brought near.

The Spirit-man lives in Eternity,
Just as Christ is alive forevermore;
“THE END”…not even an option,
“THE BEGINNING”…alive forevermore!
