Are we waiting for ETERNITY,
Waiting for it to begin;
Some day…off there in the future,
When…Heaven we do enter in?

What if ETERNITY is now,
It began when we were “born again”;
Surely our “spirit” continues on,
Flesh and blood shall not enter in.

Things to ponder o’er and o’er,
Sometimes not what we’ve been taught;
But, the truth shall prevail,
Can’t be stopped…error brought to naught.

If we put everything off into the future,
Opportunities for today…we lose;
God works in the here and now,
But, in His wisdom…He lets us choose.

Think about it now…give it some thought,
What if ETERNITY is right now;
What would we do about it,
And, what would we…not?

Would we come to the conclusion,
Would our time be better spent;
Would we worry less…trust more,
Would we love more…or our anger vent?

Our real life is in the “spirit”,
That’s where our focus needs to be;
From things that are only temporal,
We need to be set free.

Our time is better spent,
On things that are ETERNAL;
For we cannot take with us,
All that’s of the world and carnal.

So, let’s live each and every day,
As though it were our very last;
For someday it truly shall be,
For our time here…shall soon pass.

Our “spirit-man” grows stronger,
Each and every day;
As we listen to Father’s voice,
And, His will…we do obey.

Think on these things ETERNAL,
Our thoughts in the heavenlies;
Seated there…with Christ Jesus,
ETERNITY BEGINS TODAY!
