JESUS offers us JOY,
JOY almost unbelievable;
Far above what the world can give,
So rich…almost unthinkable.

Even in the hard times,
Still, this JOY goes on;
An inner JOY that can't be taken,
Ever-present…never gone.

JOY the world cannot take away,
It hasn't got a clue;
Cannot begin to fathom,
All our God can do.

So, in the good times,
And, in the bad times…too;
Look upward…for that is,
Where He would "draw" you.

No longer looking backward,
Eyes on the rear-view mirror;
We cannot go forward that way,
We're originals…not a copier.

JOY unspeakable and full of glory, (1Pe.1:8)
God's promise to each and everyone;
Let some of that JOY spill out,
A gift to us from God's own Son.

Thank You, JESUS, for that JOY,
We'll not let others take it away;
Rising above those storm-clouds,
We'll find that sunny day!
