LORD, my heart's cry has been,
"Please give me a love for Your people";
Because You see…it's not in me,
To the carnal man…abnormal.

Like JESUS…I've been wounded,
In the house of my friends; (Zec.13:6)
I can forgive…because You have,
But still…LORD…it hurts.

Funny how He answers prayer,
Seldom as we would;
He allows more "hurts" to come,
Because He knows it's for our good.

What is the cure for all our "hurts"?
Why…take them to our LORD;
It's He who shall bring comfort,
Bring us into one accord.

After tears are wiped away,
And, no longer flow;
We shall begin to see,
Maybe…why they hurt us so.

Perhaps, they're "hurting" people,
And so…that's all that they can give;
Like our God…we can reach out,
Show them another way to live.

What satan means for evil,
Our God has meant for good;
All his plans back-fire,
And, very well…they should!

For, our God is doing a good work,
In the hearts of His people…today;
All the things He teaches us,
"Pass them on…to others", He does say.

He's giving us Love,
Because, He is Love…you see;
His nature…becoming our nature,
Most blessed of the LORD…are we!
