Philippians 4:10 “But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity.
11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

I’ve given it much thought,
What life has dealt to me;
Sometimes more…sometimes less,
But, always just enough…you see.

I’ve never aimed at riches,
Nor…poor I strove to be;
Still, my life was filled with blessings,
It was always enough…for me.

In areas where there was a lot,
I counted it as from Father’s hand;
And, when there was little,
I saw it as all a part of His plan.

‘Tis harder to reach Heaven,
For a rich man…you see;
The cares of this world are great,
Content…’tis hard for him to be.

And, too the very poor man,
His struggles…they are many;
Not to be under-estimated,
Sometimes the rich man…he does envy.

To strike a happy balance,
Is to be content with what we have;
For happiness cannot be bought,
Be content with what we have.

When…Oh, when shall we learn,
That true riches are Eternal?
Our real treasure stored in Heaven,
Spiritual riches…that’s what make them special.

If we have plenty…while we are here,
Do we gladly share;
With those who don’t have enough,
Lacking clothing, shelter, and their cupboards bare?

Do we just hoard it to ourselves,
Build bigger barns…as it were?
Or is their need felt deep within,
Creating in our hearts…a stir?

God’s placed plenty…here on earth,
But, are we good stewards?
There would be no lack around us,
If each one were to step forward.

With our focus on Eternity,
We’d see no need…riches to amass;
Everyone would have enough,
Nobody would have a lack.

So, whether we have MORE OR LESS,
Let’s be sensitive to His will;
Our hands held out with extra,
To those who need their hands filled.

Father will supply our every need,
Oftimes He uses people;
Don’t be too greedy to give,
Nor to proud to receive.

Believe in your heart-of-hearts,
He has everything under control;
Nothing happens without Him knowing,
Peace and harmony…His goal.

So, whether we have MORE OR LESS,
Let’s begin to thank Him…for He cares;
He will make up the difference,
In ways of which we’re not even aware!
