Today is a great day,
Its memory…I'd like to keep;
Like a photo…in my mind,
I can draw on and reap.
But, memories are fleeting,
As sand, through our fingers…seep;
Time rushes on…rushes on,
Few memories…can we keep.
Oh, the happy memories,
Captured forever…in photos;
And, the hand-drawn charactures,
That Moms tape to their frigs.
Sad memories…we all have them,
But, as time passes;
Somehow…mercifully,
They wither and are gone, as grass is.
So, today's happy moments,
Tomorrow's memories shall be;
Make it a great day,
Store them in your heart…don't let them flee.
Today…truly all we have,
Let's live in the present;
But, remember…we're making memories,
Let's weave them into a fine garment!
