Our heavenly Bridegroom,
Was going away;
We wanted Him with us,
Forever…to stay.

He promised to return,
But, go away…He must;
And, in the meantime,
He's not left us comfortless.

When He returned to Father,
The Comforter…He sent;
We are not without comfort,
His Spirit…ever present.

And, He shall lead us into all truth,
Teach us of God's purpose;
Never speaks of Himself,
Always speaks of JESUS.

His Spirit has gone out,
To all…who will believe;
Faith is the prerequisite,
For all…who would receive.

By His power…by His Spirit,
Empowered from on High;
Always led by His Spirit,
On Him…we can rely.

What God has begun,
He shall also finish;
To unify…make us One,
His purpose…not diminish.

So, be led by His Holy Spirit,
In all you say and do;
An abundant life you'll lead,
And later, Heaven…too!
