A TAPESTRY

Ps. 139:13 "For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them."

Life is a tapestry,
Woven by an unseen Hand;
Its colors carefully chosen,
With love in every strand.

The background first is shaded,
With pastels, wash, and hues;
The foreground now elaborate,
With scarlet, gold, and blues.

A burst of color here,
A bit of shadow there;
One, without the other,
Would make the heart despair.

Life was never meant to be,
Done up in shades of gray;
Life is a collage of color,
A rainbow, with all its rays.

Now, all come together,
Skillfully woven and planned;
A masterpiece in the making,
That's exactly who I am!
