Sirens and Screams

I can't stand to be in this place
I'd be better off in outer space

Far away from the sirens and screams
Where I'd be free to live out my dreams

Somewhere the night is filled with stars
Instead of streelights and the sound of passing cars

A place with trees and flowers and grass
Instead of people who constantly harass

No drugs, no gangs, no violence there
I know that it's like that somewhere

If I were in such a place of peace
The turmoil in my mind would cease

No broken homes beyond that gate
No rich man feeding off our hate

Where truth and freedom are all around
Instead of paranoia abound

The magic, mysteries, happy scenes
That I have only seen in dreams

Fill every person's heart with joy
Each man and woman, girl and boy

Where power belongs to one and all
Instead of just the rich, the strong, the tall

Where happiness is a constant thing
And no one's heard of suffering

Where peace and happiness are free
Yes, that is where I'd like to be

Free from dities, bullies, hate
Somewhere beyone a magic gate

I can't stand to be in this place
I'd be better off in outer space

Far away from the sirens and screams
Where I'd be free to live out my dreams...
