You Don't Know by Allison McCulloch

You Don't Know

This piece does not have music. I composed it when I had the tune of Shania Twain's "You're Still the One" in my head, but it doesn't go completely right with that music.

I'll take the criticism
I'll even take the blame baby
But it can't stay like this forever
The only hope that keeps me going
Is that things will change

Oh you don't know what I've gone through
I'd pour out my fears, but there's nothing you can do
And when I hear the hint of cynicism in your tone
I know you don't know

You say I have no idea
What problems are really like
But I won't take the credit
Maybe you're just unaware of my pain
That keeps me crying in the night

Oh you don't know what I've gone through
I'd pour out my fears, but there's nothing you can do
And when I hear the hint of cynicism in your tone
I know you don't know
