Looks Like Rain Again, by Allison McCulloch

Looks Like Rain Again

I turn away so I can't meet your eyes
Cause I would be forced to tell you lies
You say we should talk and slam the door
I wonder to myself if I can take it anymore

It Wasn't Just Good at the Start
We've made up from the bad times
Now we're slowly drifting apart
Leading different lives
I know you're trying hard to make it last
You'll have to forget now and remember the past
But for now, please don't ask how I've been
Cause I'm feeling down and it looks like rain again

You look across the room and then at me
And you say "Are you really happy?"
I don't want to answer cause it doesn't matter how I feel
All that counts is if we keep our love real

It Wasn't Just Good at the Start
We've made up from the bad times
Now we're slowly drifting apart
Leading different lives
I know you're trying hard to make it last
You'll have to forget now and remember the past
But for now, please don't ask how I've been
Cause I'm feeling down and it looks like rain again

Bridge: Don't ever doubt my love
		Though things look so bad
		You'll always be
The only love I had

Alt bridge: I'm trying to figure out when we'll get back on track
But you want to have it perfect now so I'll leave it at that

It Wasn't Just Good at the Start
We've made up from the bad times
Now we're slowly drifting apart
Leading different lives
I know you're trying hard to make it last
You'll have to forget now and remember the past
But for now, please don't ask how I've been
Cause I'm feeling down and it looks like rain again
Oh, I'm feeling down and it looks like rain again
