In 1776 a group of men gathered together in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to write a statement declaring the independence of this country. How do you think they would react to the way we've grown and the state of this country today? I prefer to think about the way we celebrated this day when I was a child growing up in a small farming community in the midwest.

Take time to read these.
They are important to this country.

The Declaration of Independence

The Constitution of the United States of America

The Pledge of Allegiance

I always loved the parades.
We would decorate ourselves, bikes, and wagons.
and march to the fair grounds
where a carnival, speeches and a picnic
were waiting.

dressed for the parade.
