AlyzaCCC: you know the lesson 4 web page has the letters, vowels, and part A vocab?
Ruth: I looked at Lesson 4 a little earlier today
AlyzaCCC: okay. Be sure to look at it again before Tuesday :-)
Ruth: ok
Ruth: I really like that feature where you can listen to the pronunciation.
AlyzaCCC: I think it helps, especially with so many regional accents where the written transliteration can be misunderstood
AlyzaCCC: Glad you like it :-)
Ruth: Yes, esp. for me who has never been exposed to Hebrew before.
Ruth: :)
AlyzaCCC: I have .wav files made for the entire lesson, but I have not finished typing the vocab for the other sections of the lesson
AlyzaCCC: :-)

Ruth: I have a question please.
Ruth: :)
AlyzaCCC: sure, ga
Ruth: If I were to say "the teacher" would it be hamorah or ha morah?
Ruth: in other words is there a space?
AlyzaCCC: you mean, is there a break in the flow, or how is it transliterated?
AlyzaCCC: No space in Hebrew
AlyzaCCC: in english, sometimes it is written ha-morah, sometimes hamorah
Ruth: ok, I meant to ask when I emailed you. I think I may have put a space in that.
Ruth: thanks.
AlyzaCCC: with ha-morah it is easier to separate the prefix from the word, and see what is being said
AlyzaCCC: most welcome
AlyzaCCC: ? התכב הדימלת תא
AlyzaCCC: what have I asked you?
Ruth: Are you a student (f) in the class?
