The Gift of the Lamb
He was only 33. A perfect man in everyway. His Father's pride and joy. But He was different than other men, not because He was perfect, but because He was born just to die for us. He was a lamb sent from God that would take away the sins of the world. That's what Easter is all about. His name was Jesus, and He was God's son. But Easter is not about His death, but about His resurection from the dead. By dying, He gave us life, by raising from the dead, He defeated death and the grave so that everyone who believes in Him would not perish but have everlasting life.

The Gifts of The Cross

Because He did what His Father sent Him to do, We are able to enjoy the gifts that His death and resurection brought. He could have said "Father, I do not want to do this" and He would have been taken back up to Heaven, because He was perfect, but that would have meant death for all of us.

Because of the cross we can have...
...Peace of God, the Peace that passes all understanding
...Joy that only God can give
    ...Santification
    ...Hope
we can not be harmed by the second death

If there was no cross there would be no salvation. Without the Blood- no forgiveness of sins. Because of the cross, we can stand infront of God's throne. When God looks at us, He sees us through the blood of Jesus. And when we stand before God on judgement day, he will not look at our works or the fact that we were a "good" person. The only thing that will matter will be the Blood... The Blood from that perfect, spotless Lamb, that was crucified on a cross on Calvery. The Lamb that took away the sins of the world. Where would we be without Jesus?

If you do not know Jesus as your personal Savior and you can't claim the gift that He gave that Easter long ago, do something about it. He never wanted anyone to have to die, He already paid for your sins. You were bought with a price, a price that no mere human could pay. Please, before it's too late and the trumpet sounds, accept the Gift...
DO IT NOW!!!
