Hi! This is another page dedicated to our daughter, Noela. It's just a few poems I've been sent by friends that made me think about her along with several pics. I hope you enjoy these poems as much as I did;~}

~A Touch of Love~

noela

You were six months old
And full of fun,
With a blink of my eye,
You suddenly were one!

There were so many things
We were going to do,
But I turned my head
And you turned two!

At two, you were very
Dependent on me,
But independence took over
When you turned three!

Your third birthday,
Another year I tried to ignore,
But when I lit the candles,
There weren't three ... but four!

Four was the year
That you really strived,
Why, look at you now,
You're already five!

Now you are ready
For books and rules,
This is the year
That you go to school!

The big day came;
You were anxious to go,
We walked to the bus,
Going, oh so slow!

As you climbed aboard
And waved goodbye,
I felt a lump in my throat
And tears stung my eyes.

Time goes so fast,
It's hard to believe
That just yesterday you were home,
Here, with me.

And tomorrow when the bus brings you home
And you jump to the ground,
You'll be wearing your cap
And graduation gown.

So I'm holding to these moments
As hard as I can,
Because the next time I look,
I'll be seeing a grown woman!

~God's Greatest Work of Art~

noela&noel

When God had finished making earth and heaven
And filling them with wonders great and small,
He saw how special gladness could be given
And so began His greatest work of all.

He took the sparkle of the dew at dawning
To make two shining eyes, so bright and clear;
He plucked a velvet rose that sun-drenched morning
And made a baby mouth, so soft and dear.

For downy hair, He chose the silk that lingers
On summer flowers whose seeding time has come;
And for those dainty little toes and fingers,
The petals of a sweet chrysanthemum.

He took the magic of a rainbow's splendor,
The softness of a summer cloud on high,
The innocence of spring, so fresh ... so tender,
The frailty of a gentle butterfly.

The happy sounds of laughter and of singing,
He borrowed from the jolly, tumbling brook;
Then turning to some bluebells sweetly ringing,
Their loveliness and cheeriness He took.

And to this masterpiece so long awaited,
He added then the love from His own heart;
And thus it was a baby He created ...

God's greatest and most precious work of art.

~A Tribute To Daughters~

Every home should have a daughter,
For there's nothing like a girl
To keep the world around her
In one continuous whirl.

From the moment she arrives on earth,
And on through womanhood,
A daughter is a "female"
Who is seldom understood.

One minute she is laughing,
The next she starts to cry,
Man just can't understand her
And there's just no use to try.

She is soft and sweet and cuddly,
But she's also wise and smart;
She's a wondrous combination
Of a mind and brain and heart.

And even in her baby days,
She's just a born coquette;
And anything she really wants,
She manages to get.

For even at a tender age,
She uses all her wiles;
And she can melt the hardest heart
With the sunshine of her smiles.

She starts out as a rosebud
With her beauty unrevealed;
Then through a happy childhood,
Her petals are unsealed.

She's soon a sweet girl graduate,
And then a blushing bride;
And then a lovely woman
As the rosebud opens wide.

And some day in the future,
If it be God's gracious will,
She, too, will be a Mother
And know that reverent thrill,

That comes to every Mother
Whose heart is filled with love
When she beholds her "angel"
That God sent her from above.

And there would be no life at all
In this world or the other
Without a "darling daughter"
Who, in turn, becomes a "Mother!"

Reflections of A Mother

I gave you life,
But cannot live it for you.

I can teach you things,
But I cannot make you learn.

I can give you directions,
But I cannot be there to lead you.

I can allow you freedom,
But I cannot account for it.

I can take you to church,
But I cannot make you believe.

I can teach you right from wrong,
But I cannot always decide for you.

I can buy you beautiful clothes,
But I cannot make you beautiful inside.

I can offer you advice,
But I cannot accept it for you.

I can give you love,
But I cannot force it upon you.

I can teach you to share,
But I cannot make you unselfish.

I can teach you respect,
But I cannot force you to show honor.

I can advise you about friends,
But cannot choose them for you.

I can advise you about sex,
But I cannot keep you pure.

I can tell you the facts of life,
But I can't build your reputation.

I can tell you about drink,
But I can't say "No" for you.

I can warn you about drugs,
But I can't prevent you from using them.

I can tell you about lofty goals,
but I can't achieve them for you.

I can teach you about kindness,
But I can't force you to be gracious

I can warn you about sins,
But I cannot make you moral.

I can love you as a child,
But I cannot place you in God's family.

I can pray for you,
But I cannot make you walk with God.

I can tell you how to live,
But I cannot give you eternal life.

I can love you with unconditional love all of my life

... And I WILL!
