Dear all, here is the first remedy group comparisons. Hope you find it useful. I am thinking of doing the bowel nosodes in the new year. Happy holiday reading.

The Kaliums have quite a lot in common:- WEAKNESS, ALTERNATING SYMPTOMS, HAGGARD OR ANXIOUS LOOKING FACIAL EXPRESSIONS, CATARRHS, BACKACHES, OEDEMA, DELUSIONS ABOUT BODY, < EARLY HOURS, < ON WAKING, > OPEN AIR, > MOVING SLOWLY, ASTHMA, EPILEPSY, BULIMIA and ANOREXIA.

They can be hungry but food nearly always agg. They are nearly all controlled and conservative in their behaviour and outlook. There is a certain rigidity.

Head feels large (compare Kali. carb = delusion neck too large), tongue feels large, quarrelsome and discontented, nervous depression, startled look on face, intense thirst, constant pain and nausea after food, violent diarrhoea, s.a.i red hot iron in anus, amenorrhea, herpes zoster behind r. ear, epithelial cancer. [Boericke] [Clarke]

BICHROMICUM = sluggishness dominates, anthropophobia, averse to mental exertion, tough stringy jelly like mucous, gastric Sx > alternating with < rheumatics, pain in small spots, wandering pains, s.a.i. hair on tongue, oedema of eyelids (compare Kali carb.). [Boericke] [Kent] [Clarke]

In summary I think that one of the most important applications of the kaliums could be in Anorexia and bulimia. Sabadilla has often been thought of as a prominent remedy in these cases but the Kaliums really need looking at for this. Anyone who has any cases and would care to share them with us would be great.

Thanks for reading. Best wishes, Joy Lucas
