an international collaborative project initiated and directed by Dr Susan Lawrence at La
Trobe University in Melbourne and Mark Staniforth at Flinders University in Adelaide. The
project addresses aspects of the archaeology and history of Australasia's colonial whaling
industry.

regarded as one of the most significant shipwrecks in the Southern Hemisphere. A reliable

Bounty mutineers in 1790. What is the full story of the Pandora? And how did the men who

The objectives of the NZAA are to promote and foster research into the archaeology of New
Zealand. The NZAA runs a Site Recording Scheme, which contains the records of over
40 000 archaeological sites. The records are used for the purpose of research
and protection of the sites.
