What is a magickal name?
This is a name that you choose to use in any Wiccan practice. This includes spells, rituals, writing in the Book of Shadows, and communing with the Deities.
Do I have to have one?
No, although it is not necessary to have a magickal name to practice Wicca, it is useful in helping you get into a ritual mind-set. It is your special name that you have set aside for worship. It is okay if you don't want to choose one. The Goddess and God will commune and help you whether you have a magickal name or not.
How do I choose a magickal name?
This is the fun part. You can use any means you choose to find one. You can use name dictionaries to find the meanings of the name. You can use numerology to align it with your birthdate. You can use divination and meditation to find assistance in choosing one. However you choose, it is your special name. Choose one that really appeals to you.
