What is Wicca?
Wicca is an earth-based religion based around the deities of The God and The Goddess, sometimes called Our Lord and Our Lady. Wiccans use the energies that exist in and around us to affect changes. Wicca does involve the use of meditation, rituals and sometimes magick. We believe that the Goddess and God are not distant entities but that they dwell in and around us and so we have a relationship with them of understanding and love. It is a religion of great freedom in how you find connection with the divine. There are basic principles that are followed by most but there are many styles of practice and wiccans are very accepting of all spiritual paths.

Can anyone be a Wiccan?
Yes, I believe that anyone can be a wiccan. It requires patience and study and no one should practice wicca because someone else told them they should. Each person has to seek out the path that is right for them. Most suggest taking at least a year to study and practice before making a committment to the wiccan path. Once you come to a place where you know that this is your chosen spiritual path then you can perform a dedication ritual to celebrate that committment.
What is magick and how can you use it?
Magick uses the energies of the Earth, Air, Fire, and Water to effect changes in you life or environment with the guidance of the Goddess and the God. Wiccans have learned how to use these energies to enhance and balance their lives. Magick is not for manipulation or harm to anyone. You should never use magick for revenge. By doing so, you risk harming yourself by being bound to the Law of Return which means that what you do will come back to you. If you do harmful things, harmful things will come back to you. If you do good things, then good things come back to you. So if your only reason for interest in Wicca is to cast a spell on someone, leave Wicca alone. I also feel that love spells should not be used to make someone fall in love with you. It is okay to use a love spell to bring the right person into your life but to manipulate would not bring you the happiness that you want. Who wants someone to love them because you had to make them? Isn't it better to have someone love you because they love you for who you are? If they can't do that, then they are not the person meant for you. Use good judgement with any magick and always give it a lot of thought before you cast the spell.
