Purpose for which corporation is formed:
The corporation is organized and will be operated
exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of 501
(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Specifically, the corporation is organized to provide community youths
with free educational programs in the study of astronomy and make available a
family oriented atmosphere, that which is conducive to public interest and
education; To receive by gift, devise,
bequest or otherwise any property, both real and personal; To purchase or otherwise acquire lease as
lessee, invest in hold, use, lease as lessor, encumber, sell, exchange,
transfer and dispose of property of any description or any interest herein; To
do things permitted by law and exercise all authority within the purpose stated
in its articles or incidental thereto, provided however, that no part of said
funds or property shall enure to the benefit of any member thereof and no part
of the activities of said corporation shall be the carrying on of propaganda or
otherwise attempting to influence legislation;
To maintain facilities to purse such studies, however provided. In pursuance of these purposes it shall have
the powers to carry on any business or other activity which may be lawfully
conducted by a corporation organized under the Ohio Nonstock Corporations Act,
whether or not related to the foregoing purposes, and to do all things
necessary, proper and consistent with maintaining tax exempt status under
section 501 (c)(3).
