Lonely Planet web site about Chad:
There are two pages including examples in black and white of eight figures from Tchad/Chad in African Dolls for Play and Magic by Esther Dagan, Galerie Amrad African Arts, 1990.
She writes
"Dolls were used by numersou groups in Chad. P. Sigrid mentions examples from various regional groups includein gthe KOTOKO, BAGIRMI, ENNEDI, OMDURMAN and BAGARA. Three types from Chad are illustrated here" Bagimi wood dolls, Koto black wax females and clay dolls produced by various groups." p. 40,41
If anyone reading this page has any photographs he or she could share, or information about dolls/figurines/statues/figures from this area I would appreciate your contacting me so I might add information to this page.
