Rag doll. El Salvador written on the cloth. Purchased through Ebay 2001
Handmade, and well-preserved EL SALVADORAN DOLL from the 1940s that was made in the country of origin. I know what
it is because it has been owned by my mother since it was given to her in the 1940s. It has been in our family ever since. It has been stored on a shelf and covered
since I can remember (since the 1960s). My mother preserved this as part of her doll collection and did not play with it. For that reason, and because it is from a
non-smoking home, it is in beautiful condition. There are no signs of wear anywhere on this doll. This doll measures 7 inches in height from the bottom of the skirt to
the top of the hat. There is no original box for this doll. I have made several scans of the doll so that you can see exactly what you are buying. There are NO hidden
defects. My mother says that it is a burlap roll with a bonnet on the head, facial features sewn onto the face portion, blue beads wrapped around its neck, along with
a blouse on the upper portion of the body and a skirt on the lower
